Frequently Asked Questions
What is your typical process?
When a new designer contacts us, we begin by having them complete our Designer Intake Form (also available on the Contact Us page of our website) to collect all the necessary information to establish your firm as a client. After you are an established client and if you are needing an estimate for a current project we ask that you send an email to julia@jshdesigns.com with the project details so that our team may provide you will a preliminary estimate. You will receive a quote via QuickBooks for review and approval.
Once accepted, our team will coordinate a measurement appointment with you and your client to take precise measurements for windows, beds, and other fabrication needs.
After the measurements are complete and the quote has been accepted we’ll provide a link to our Work Order Form in Airtable. You will use this form to enter all project information, which is automatically added to our internal database.
Next, you’ll order the required fabric and trims and have them shipped directly to our workroom. From there, we’ll handle fabrication and coordinate with our trusted installation partners to schedule the final install.
What are your current lead times?
Our lead times do vary depending on the season, with longer lead times leading up to the winter holidays. Currently, we are anticipating project completion 12-14 weeks from the time all fabric and materials are delivered to our workroom. If you need a project installed before then, we occasionally have rush dates available for an added fee.
What clients do you serve?
We are a to-the-trade drapery workroom, which means we work exclusively with designers, architects, and builders to fabricate their designs for their clients.
Are you accepting new designers currently?
Yes! We are absolutely accepting new designers. If you are interested in working with us, please fill out the Designer Intake Form on our Contact Us page, and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
What is Airtable, and why do I have to use it?
We use Airtable to manage our projects, deadlines, and production schedules. By completing the Airtable forms we send you, you help us stay on track with lead times and keep everything running smoothly.
Where are you located?
